AI adoption in workplaces is accelerating, with enterprises leveraging AI to automate repetitive tasks, optimise decision-making, and enhance productivity. However, many organisations face challenges in integrating AI due to complex workflows, security concerns, and a lack of in-house expertise, slowing down their ability to fully harness AI’s transformative potential.
Noxus, a London-based AI startup enabling enterprises to build and deploy their own AI workforces, has secured $1.5 million in pre-seed funding to accelerate its mission. The round was led by SFC Capital and saw participation from Antler, Bynd VC, Caixa Capital, AltaIR Capital, I2BF Global Ventures, Yellow Rocks, and Smart Partnership Capital, along with notable European business angels.
On achieving the investment, TFN spoke to João Pedro Almeida, co-founder and CEO at Noxus.
AI-powered productivity for enterprises
Founded by João Pedro Almeida, Jorge Pessoa, and engineers Gonçalo Ferreira and Miguel Ribeiro in 2023, Noxus’ mission is to bridge the gap between powerful AI models and the people using them.
Almeida said “Noxus was founded to enable true AI adoption across industries facing significant productivity gaps. While today’s AI technologies represent remarkable breakthroughs, many fail to address the complex realities of large enterprises—where processes are nuanced and domain expertise is critical. Even as frontier AI models advance, organisations still need human insight to guide decision-making and seamlessly integrate AI into their workflows.”
He added, “Recognising this challenge, we developed a platform that provides businesses—particularly those without in-house AI capabilities—with an off-the-shelf solution for real-world use cases. This approach empowers companies to deploy AI “workers” across complex environments, democratising access to cutting-edge technology. Notably, many European enterprises operate in traditional sectors and do not prioritise understanding AI; our mission is to bridge this gap and help them harness AI effectively, ultimately driving meaningful productivity gains and sustainable growth.”
By letting AI co-workers handle the most repetitive, manual tasks, from dispute resolutions, to claim processing, CV screenings and more, Noxus frees teams up to focus on what truly matters, while helping enterprises close Europe’s growing productivity gap. These AI colleagues work alongside, and under the guidance of humans, to help businesses scale their teams 10x, save hundreds of hours, and take advantage of AI’s potential today, not tomorrow.
Since its launch, Noxus has secured six-figure enterprise contracts across healthcare, finance, and FMCG industries. Companies using Noxus have seen significant efficiency gains, including:
Noxus was recently selected for the Google Growth Program in the UK, further cementing its position as a key player in enterprise AI transformation.
What makes Noxus stand out?
With its enterprise-grade AI Operating System, Noxus allows organisations to seamlessly integrate AI into complex workflows, helping teams scale productivity, optimise operations, and focus on innovation. Unlike multiple AI integrations that struggle to meet enterprise needs, Noxus provides a secure, compliant, and fully autonomous solution where AI co-workers operate within a company’s infrastructure—ensuring full data regency and control.
Almeida said, “At Noxus, our platform is much more than a no-code tool for building and managing AI-Coworkers—it’s a comprehensive AI operating system engineered for the demands of large, traditional enterprises.” He detailed the following aspects:
- End-to-end ecosystem: A solution goes beyond a simple interface by offering a full-stack system that integrates seamlessly into your existing infrastructure. This not only guarantees robust data privacy and full regulatory compliance but also ensures that your organisation always has access to the latest state-of-the-art technologies.
- Scalable and fault-tolerant engine: It recognises that large enterprises cannot afford to have AI systems that fail frequently. That’s why the platform is built on a scalable, fault-proof architecture designed to deliver consistently high performance—even under the most demanding conditions.
- Unmatched precision: While many AI automation tools struggle to deliver consistent results, often falling short of industry benchmarks, the technology is engineered to achieve precision rates of up to 95%. This remarkable accuracy transforms AI from a flashy experiment into a reliable driver of operational efficiency.
- Future-proofing traditional businesses: Noxus’ USP lies in its ability to democratise AI adoption by not only simplifying the integration process but also by providing a robust operating system that empowers enterprises to be prepared for the next technological revolution. It helps traditional businesses transition from legacy systems to innovative, AI-driven workflows that can sustain long-term growth and competitiveness.
He further continued, “In essence, Noxus’s platform is a transformative solution that equips organisations with the tools they need to harness the full potential of AI—delivering reliability, compliance, and future readiness in one integrated package.”
Competitors
Talking about competition, Almeida said “Our competitive landscape features both established incumbents and innovative newcomers. Traditionally, UIPath has dominated the market with its robust, enterprise-focused solutions. However, we are also witnessing the rise of players like Gumloop and Lindy, who are achieving impressive results—albeit with a different focus that doesn’t always align with the complex demands of large-scale enterprises. While these emerging competitors excel in agile, non-enterprise environments, Noxus stands apart by delivering a comprehensive, enterprise-grade AI operating system designed specifically to address the intricate challenges of traditional organisations.”
Next steps: Scaling and expansion
The fresh funding will enable Noxus to enhance its platform capabilities, onboard more enterprise clients, and expand operations. By bridging the gap between AI models and enterprise users, Noxus is positioning itself as a catalyst for Europe’s next workplace revolution, empowering companies to remain competitive in an AI-first world.
Regarding the investment, Almeida added: “We are experiencing strong revenue traction and are on track to reach $1M ARR this year, so this fundraise gives us a long runway. This fundraise is strategically aimed at fueling our growth by expanding our team and retaining the best talent in the industry. It also provides us with the resources to navigate the longer sales cycles typical of our target enterprise clients, ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional value and sustain our momentum in a competitive market.”
Vegard Medbo, COO at Antler, said: “Noxus is addressing a crucial challenge for large enterprises: implementing AI in production to achieve meaningful productivity gains without the usual complexity or risks. As organisations worldwide explore how to build their AI workforce and capitalise on this next wave of innovation, Noxus takes a unique approach. They’ve developed a horizontal platform designed to democratise AI adoption for legacy companies, empowering them to compete and thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape. We’re proud to back João, Jorge, and their team as they enable organisations to seamlessly integrate AI into their operations and unlock its transformative potential.”
