A Big Change for My Websites

A couple of weeks ago, I made a pretty big change. My brand-new website was starting to show up in organic search results, but my hobby website wasn’t getting the same results.

I think the hobby site covers too many different topics. AI tools are already very competitive, and adding blogging tips and crypto made the site feel too scattered to rank well. That’s my opinion, but the results weren’t great.

I also originally bought that website through a Fiverr gig that included more than 200 articles. I later found out that most of them were duplicate content copied from around the web.

I’m still adding articles to the site, but I decided to start another new website with RightBlogger and focus on a much narrower niche.

    Brand New Website Early Results

I launched it on October 9 and have already started seeing organic search results.

To get it going, I added 10 articles up front. I also connected the site to RightBlogger’s Content Planner, which creates five articles a week. I used ChatGPT to narrow a broad topic into something I might be able to rank for, then gave those instructions to the RightBlogger Content Planner. I usually use ChatGPT or Google AI for that part.

The site now has 27 articles, and it’s already getting some organic traffic. That feels like a big win.

The other new website I created is also starting to get traffic. I published its first article on September 8, so it’s been online for about seven weeks. I’m already seeing organic search impressions and actual visitors.

    Sharing Articles on Social Media

I feel a little silly admitting this, but I didn’t realize RightBlogger had an automatic Social Share feature. I’ve now connected it to my Pinterest account for all three websites.

The images it creates and shares to Pinterest look much better to me, and they’re more likely to get clicks.

Pinterest isn’t my main goal for website traffic, but sharing content on more platforms can help. I also set up a Threads account for the website I purchased, along with Blog2Social for a few other platforms.

Now, when I publish a new article, I click “Share” in Blog2Social. It posts to all three platforms I’ve selected.

I’ve had the Threads account for about a week. So far, I’ve gained 11 followers and had 195 views. I’m not going to pretend I know how to use Threads like a social media expert. It’s just an easy way to share my content on another platform, and my current setup takes less than two minutes using Blog2Social (this is a free WordPress plugin. You can upgrade for reasonable amounts if you want to begin sharing to networks like TikTok. Right now I’m just using it for Threads, Tumblr and Diig).

    Update on My Purchased Website

I don’t have a lot to report on the purchased website. It’s now getting nearly 400 visitors a week.

The RightBlogger AI Agent is still updating SEO meta descriptions and finding relevant articles to link together. I also recently applied to AWin so I can start looking for affiliate offers to promote.

    What RightBlogger Does

RightBlogger includes several AI SEO tools and features that help me create and manage content:

Social Share: Connect your Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, or Threads accounts and share your content through RightBlogger. I choose to review posts first, but you can set it to share automatically.

Content Planner: Creates five articles per week, including images and SEO scores.

AI Agent: Reviews meta descriptions and looks for areas where I can improve SEO.

Article Rewriter: Rewrites an existing article to help improve its chances of ranking in organic search.

Keyword Planner: Enter a keyword to get ideas and create an article with one click. It also shows estimated search volume and whether competition is low or high. Today, I used it to write two articles targeting keywords with around 3,000 monthly searches and low competition.

Please note I am an affiliate for RightBlogger and may earn a commission if you purchase through my link.
